Amounts in words, the Nepali way
Cheques and official forms ask for the amount in words as well as figures, so the two can be checked against each other. This tool writes any rupee amount out in both Nepali and English.
It uses the lakh–crore system (हजार, लाख, करोड, अरब), the way amounts are grouped and read in Nepal — so 1,25,000 reads as *One Lakh Twenty Five Thousand*, not *One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand*.
Paisa are written after the rupees. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent or stored.
