New fiscal year checklist (Shrawan)
Also searched as: Shrawan checklist, aarthik barsha checklist, नयाँ आर्थिक वर्ष.
Nepal's fiscal year starts in Shrawan, and a handful of yearly tasks cluster around the change. This is a general checklist to line them up — confirm the exact dates, fees and rules with the office concerned, as they change year to year.
Around the fiscal year end (Ashadh)
- Renew MeroShare and your DeMat account (often due around Ashadh end)
- Settle anything tied to the old fiscal year
- Clear pending yearly dues before the year closes
At the start of the new year (Shrawan onward)
- Renew vehicle tax and the bluebook when your date comes up
- Renew insurance policies that run on the fiscal year
- Check business or firm renewals (PAN/VAT, ward registration)
- Review loan and cooperative installments for the year
Set it once, be reminded
Rather than remembering all of this each Shrawan, add each item to Nabikaran once with its date, and let your phone remind you before each is due. The fiscal-year countdown tool shows how long is left in the current year.
A note on dates and fees
Exact deadlines, fees and fines vary by year, province and office. Treat this checklist as a general guide and confirm the specifics with the office or your usual service.
