How age is counted
Age is counted as completed years, months and days from the birth date up to today. You can enter the birth date in Bikram Sambat (as written on a Nepali certificate) or in AD — either way the age is the same, because it's measured on the real calendar.
A BS date is converted to its exact AD date first, then the difference is worked out the usual way: full years, then the leftover months, then the leftover days. This matches how age is read for forms, school and official use.
